Assalamualaikum Brothers and Sisters;

I will be taking a break from Hadith of the Day for a while. I thank everyone for visiting and linking this humble blog of mine to your sites. Inshahallah you have all learnt something new as I have done so with every post I made. Alhumdulillah.

This was indeed an educational journey for me.

This website will remain available and when I have the time to update it, I will, Inshahallah.

Thank you, once again, for your support.

Wasalam,
Suraya

Narrated AbuHurayrah:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Anyone who incites a woman against her husband or a slave against his master is not one of us.

{Book 12, Number 2170 : Sunan Abu Dawud}

This hadith reminds me of all those Indonesian dramas (don’t forget, Indonesia has the largest Muslim population on this earth) that constantly separates the husband and wife with something or another (be it another woman, black magic, in-laws). So many people are following these TV series that they can be influenced by the rubbish they put out. When I do have the time to flick through the channels, it never ceases to amaze me that they can say, “Assalamualakum”, “Alhumdulillah” and “Astagfirullah” and then kiss and hug a non-mahram man and then drink some wine. Someone help them out!

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas’ud:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: None of my Companions must tell me anything about anyone, for I like to come out to you with no ill-feelings.

{Book 41, Number 4842 : Sunan Abu Dawud}

I love this hadith. I wish that a lot more people would understand this and practice this. Ignorance is always bliss, I say (in this matter anyway).

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Masa that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) deputed any of his Companions on a mission, he would say:

Give tidings (to the people) ; do not create (in their minds) aversion (towards religion) ; show them leniency and do not be hard upon them.

{Book 019, Chapter 3, Number 4297: Sahih Muslim}
