About Me

Assalamualaikum!

This is an extended part of myself and I’m starting this blog to remind myself and remind others about Islam too, InshaAllah. I seem to forget about my duties as a Muslim from time to time and this blog will enable me to drill it back into my brain!

I’m an 83 baby based in Singapore, originally from Perth, Western Australia. I’m still trying to find my true calling in life. I know that it’s got to do with Islam.

Some how or another.

This is the start.

thank u for them a hadith

12. x5 - August 22, 2007

“Had he (Muhammad) uttered any other teachings. We would have punished him. We would have stopped the revelations to him” (69:44-46).

“You (Muhammad) have NO duty EXCEPT DELIVERING the message” (42:48).

“Your ONLY duty (Muhammad), is delivering, we will call them to account” (13:40).

“The messenger has NO function EXCEPT delivery of the message” (5:99).

We have revealed to you this book (KORAN) to provide EXPLANATIONS FOR EVERYTHING, and guidance, and mercy and good news for the submitters”

“We did not leave anything out of this book (KORAN)” (6:38).

“The word (KORAN) of your Lord (ALAH) is COMPLETE, in truth and justice” (6:115).

“Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book (KORAN) FULLY DETAILED” (6:114).

How can there possibly be talk of a “second inspiration” when the Koran says there isn’t one?! And yet the Hadith is so entranched in Islam that to detach it would be to alter the nature of Islam considerably.

Thank you for your comments.

I can see where you got your information from (http://www.investigateislam.com/two_sets_of_muslim_scriptures.htm) and it’s important to note that, well, the information on that site isn’t really true and is not written in a scholarly way. My take is that it is from someone who hates Islam and hates the fact that Muslims exist.

I urge you to find proper books in libraries about Islam and not on the Internet. The Internet has great ways to put out unverified information.

I will not comment much on the site you got your information from but I will direct you to a hard copy books that you can refer to.

Perhaps, you might want to read a book called “Muhammad: A Biography of the Prophet” by Karen Armstrong (who is an ex-nun but is not a Muslim. You can read more about her here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Armstrong).

This books is written by a person outside of Islam and from someone who does comparative studies on a few religions.

You can get the book here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Muhammad-Biography-Prophet-Karen-Armstrong/dp/1842126083

I love your passion in finding out the truth, keep it up.
