===========================
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah’s Apostle p.b.u.h said, “The example of a believer is that of a fresh green plant the leaves of which move in whatever direction the wind forces them to move and when the wind becomes still, it stands straight. Such is the similitude of the believer: He is disturbed by calamities (but is like the fresh plant he regains his normal state soon). And the example of a disbeliever is that of a pine tree (which remains) hard and straight till Allah cuts it down when He wills.”

How beautifully true is this hadith? A believer would know when to come back to reality. Subhanallah. I love this!
It just reminds me of people who will wallow in self pity for a long time and never get over it.
Allah knows best, right?
AssalaamuAlaikum, sweet Suraya,
SubhanAllah, this hadith is so beautiful and so inspiring. It allows us to be moved by calamities, and then tells us to move on from them. That is what I call the encouragement of GROWTH!
JazakAllah Khair, sweet sister!
Waalaikumsalam!
I was instantly attracted to this hadith for the exact same reason, we should all live by it. Too beautiful, subhanallah!
